World Class Car Show at Memphis International Raceway


The Super Chevy Show presented by Chevrolet Performance is a three-day event at Memphis International Raceway (MIR) that offers something for every car enthusiasts and race fan. One of the star events in this automotive celebration is the car show where gorgeous Chevy vehicles are put on display and compete for specialty, class and the coveted Best in Show award.

The Show 'N Shine festival of cars kicks-off the celebration on Friday, April 11. The competition heats up Saturday, April 12 with the Specialty awards and the grand finale isSunday, April 13 with the class awards and the coveted best in class award. Judging for the specialty awards begins Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CT with the awards presentation at 4:00 p.m. CT. The class awards will be judged Sunday at 11:00 a.m. CT and the awards, plus Best in Show, will be announced at 3:30 p.m. CT.

In addition, MIR is pleased to announce the return of renowned National judges - Ray Jump, Robert Everett, and Andy Hendricks- who will serve as the team leader. Due to the increasing number of entries in this prestigious event, Sara Griewing will join the already impressive list of judges in overseeing the operation of the show.

Griewing joined the Manufacturers Series in 2011 as the Series Manager. She is a decorated car competitor with an abundance of first-place wins and two National MCA Gold Trophies. In addition, she is an experienced show judge who applies techniques from ISCA and MCA mentors in conjunction with her personal expertise and competitive standards.

Entry for the car show is $35 for a one-day pass or $45 for a three-day pass. The fee includes admission for one person and the car. Participants can pay for the entry fee in advance or at the gate. Please visit www.racemir.com or call 901-WOW-Race for more information.

• Big Car - (Includes Impala, Biscayne and Caprice) - 1949 - 1989, 1990 & Newer Chevelle, 1964 - 1967, 1968 & Newer
• El Camino - All El Caminos
• Conversion - 1900 - Current, Class includes all non-Chevrolet bodied vehicles with Chevrolet power and all Chevrolet bodied vehicles with non-Chevrolet power
• Early Chevy - 1900 - 1948, Chevrolet bodies and powered cars and trucks
• Open - All Chevrolets and GM products not included in a specific category - Through Current Model Year
• Camaro - 1967 - 1969, 1970 - 1981, 1982 - 1992, 1993 - 2002, 2010 & Newer
• Corvette - 1953 - 1967, 1968 - 1996, 1997 - 2004, 2005 & Newer
• Monte Carlo - All Monte Carlos
• Chevrolet - 1955 - 1957
• Nova - 1962 - 1967, 1968 & Newer
• Nostalgia Rod - All unfinished appearing vehicles - Awarded in Conversion or Early Chevrolet classes
• Low Rider - All low rider vehicles - Awarded in Big Car class
• Pro Street/Pro Engineered - All Chevrolet vehicles with 75% of an original frame or altered original frame (including rear end narrowed), having a physically narrowed rear end wheel tubs or factory. OR All Chevrolet vehicles, which have a complete tube chassis, from radiator to rear bumper (round or square). Must have a physically narrowed rear end and wheel tubs. All tube chassis drag cars and off road will compete in this class.
• Pick Up Truck - 1949 - 1972 ALL, 1973 - 1987 ALL, 1988 & Newer ALL
• SUV ALL
• YOUNG STAR (under 21)
