Double the Fun for Fans at Team Chevy Racing Display for Long Beach

Fans at this weekend’s Grand Prix of Long Beach will have a double dose of Chevy Racing. The Long Beach Lifestyle Expo will include displays from Chevrolet’s Verizon IndyCar Series and the Corvette Racing display from the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

Both displays will be open for fans Friday through Sunday starting at 8 a.m., each day. Fans are invited to stop by and visit Chevy’s IndyCar and Corvette Racing trackside interactive displays that feature exciting fan favorites including the all-new Corvette C7.R show car, a rolling 2014 Corvette Stingray chassis, Corvette’s C7.R race engine, Chevrolet’s IndyCar engine and Helio Castroneves’ No. 3 Chevy V6-powered IndyCar show car.

Chevrolet also will showcase an exciting lineup of production vehicles at the display include the Camaro Z/28, Corvette Stingray Convertible, SS Sports Sedan, 2015 Tahoe, Cruze, Impala, Malibu, Silverado, Sonic, Traverse and Volt.

In addition, fans can fill out electronic questionnaires and receive a complementary Chevrolet or Corvette Racing t-shirt.

"This weekend is the best of both worlds for Long Beach fans - especially those who visit the Team Chevy display," said Jeff Chew, Manager Business Strategy and Operations for Chevrolet Racing. "Having the Verizon IndyCar Series and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship as part of the Long Beach weekend highlights Chevrolet's high level of involvement in both events. We welcome all fans - whether they favor open-wheel, sports car racing, both or are new to racing - to learn more about Chevrolet's involvement in the two series and to spend some time with our knowledgeable product specialists and experience Chevrolet’s award-winning new products throughout the weekend."

Chevrolet drivers also will make appearances for autographs and question-and-answer sessions Friday and Saturday. Wayne Taylor Racing’s Jordan and Ricky Taylor and Max Angelelli will sign autographs from noon to 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Saturday, Chevy IndyCar drivers Ryan Briscoe and Charlie Kimball will be at the display starting at 11:45 a.m. Later in the day, Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Saavedra will appear at 3:30 p.m., followed by Mike Conway and Ed Carpenter at 4:30 p.m.

The Long Beach Grand Prix, the second round of the Verizon IndyCar Series, is set for 4 p.m. ET on Sunday with live coverage on the NBC Sports network. The TUDOR Championship’s Patrón Sports Car Showcase is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET Saturday with live coverage on FOX Sports 1.
