Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 Replaces Sareni Camaro GT3 At Monza

Reiter Engineering swaps at last minute from SaReNi Camaro GT3 to Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 for the opening round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza.

"Fortunately with the SaReNi Camaro GT3 and Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 we have developed two excellent racecars, so the decision was relatively easy to take," says Hans Reiter, owner of the racing stable Reiter Engineering.

The Reiter Gallardo FL2 benefited from an error in the American muscle car’s engine periphery during the ADAC GT Masters Test at Oschersleben at the beginning of the week.

"We discovered the error and must now concentrate on preparing the SaReNi Camaro GT3 for the start of the ADAC GT MASTERS season at Oschersleben in two weeks. The Blancpain Endurance Series race at Monza would have been the perfect warm-up for the SaReNi Camaro. However, due to the embarrassing mistake at Oschersleben we are now running out of time. We’ll now target the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Paul Ricard on the last weekend in June as substitute race for the Camaro," explains Hans Reiter the circumstances. "On the other hand, the Reiter Gallardo should demonstrate at Monza that it is better on high-speed circuits than it was in 2013."

The drivers Peter Kox, Tomas Enge and Albert von Thurn und Taxis were really looking forward to charging around the track in the SaReNi Camaro GT3 following the excellent test results at Monza, but can presumably easily live with the Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3. The trio competes at Monza in the Pro-Cup where they meet the high-calibre rivals Bentley, Aston Martin, McLaren, AMG Mercedes and Audi. The 3-hour race starts on Sunday at 14:45 local time and is broadcast via live stream on http://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/live.
