Marrakech, Practice 1: Kimiya Sato (Euronova) Takes The Early Lead In Morocco

Kimiya Sato (Euronova Racing) has set the fastest lap of the first Auto GP practice session at Marrakech, on the street circuit that is hosting the 2014 opener. The Japanese racer, who joined the GP2 Series ranks, is back after ending as a runner-up in the 2014 AutoGP season and scored a personal fastest laptime of 1'31"115 to top Zele Racing's Sergio Campana by half a second. Giuseppe Cipriani scored a valuable third place. The Team Principal of Ibiza Racing Team is back behind the wheel of his racecar after being kept away from the tracks for almost one year. As he regained the right confidence with his car immediately, he managed to end up in the top-3.
