Ferrari Racing Days - Ferrari Challenge APAC


The Sydney round of the Ferrari Challenge excited and delighted visitors at Ferrari Racing Days today. The Ferrari APAC Challenge had his Race 1 of Round 2 of the season and saw Max Blancardi from Italy winning the overall race in the Pirelli Pro classification, finishing with an impressive racing time of 25:25:583, setting also the fastest lap of the race in 1:32:892.

The Pirelli classification of experienced drivers saw more competition, with Philippe Prette from Hong Kong taking the honours in Race 1 with a racing time of 25:39:880, crossing the finish line ahead of Steve Wyatt from Australia who took second spot with a delay of 4.5 seconds, while Ringo Chong from Singapore took third spot crossing the line 16.3 seconds behind.

In the Coppa Shell, race 1 saw an exciting battle of skilful maneuvering. David Tjiptobiantoro from Indonesia took victory with a racing time of 25:49:655, finishing ahead of Paul van Loenhout from Australia and Vicente Floirendo from the Philippines. Viewers were on the edge of their seats for the entirety of the race. It’s interesting to note that the winners of Sydney’s Race 1 were exactly the winners of Race 1 in Sepang, Round 1 of the series. The racing spectacle was viewed by crowds of keen Ferrari fans, who were shocked, delighted and excited by the fast pace set by the drivers. The day started with thrilling qualifying rounds which saw Prette score the fastest qualifying lap while Blancardi only placed sixth in the qualifying rounds. This means that to win the overall race had to make his race all the more dramatic and exciting.

Attendees to Sunday’s on-track activities at Ferrari Racing Days are in for a treat, as the Ferrari Challenge takes to the track once again. Visitors will also be privy to the XX programs, sports drives, enjoy drives and a spectacular display by F1 Clienti.
