Automobili Lamborghini RACING TEAM GERMANY started last weekend, 11th-13th April 2014, to the first raceweekend of the world's fastes one-make series at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy.

Already during the first free practice session on Friday afternoon it became clear that the two drivers of the Lamborghini Super Trofeos from Leipert Motorsport, Carina Lima with starting number 21 and Jeroen Mul with starting number 22, are coped very well with the track.

Jeroen Mul finished his impressive first practice of the day in 2nd place, just 0.0001 seconds behind the first place. The second free practice was used by the team to set-up work with the brakes.

The Qualifying went very well for Carina Lima. After one completed pre-season test she improved her lap-times permanently always better. For Jeroen Mul, the qualifying had been rather difficult due to sudden break out gearbox problems, in spite of everything, he still managed a seventh starting position for the first race.

But that was the least of the problems for Jeroen with starting number 22. Due to the short time between qualifying and the first race team and driver decided to make the start with the bad working gearbox. Better go hunting for points with the risk of a wrecked gearbox as to cancel the race altogether. In the formation lap of the first race Jeroen noticed the next trouble: Electronic problems with the engine. By this reason a podium success had moved far away. But according to the motto: "No risk, no reward.", Jeroen started the race and reached despite of all the problems - only because of his excellent performance - even the 10th place. This was also the starting place for the second race.

The sympathetic Portuguese female driver Carina Lima has also shown a good performance in the first race. The only woman in the large starting field was able to show some male competitors at the finish line the rear of the impressive Lamborghini with starting number 21 from behind.

In a night session from Saturday to Sunday, the team worked until 2:30 in the morning to regain the Lamborghini for Jeroen Mul competitive again. The gearbox has changed and the electronic problem of the engine was solved.

On Sunday Race 2 of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo started at 10.55 am.

Already during the first laps Jeroen Mul launched his brilliant comeback, has shown to the Team and spectators exciting duels and then - much to the delight of the team and the teamowner Ingo Leipert, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, he crossed the finish line at 2nd place overall and PRO-class.

Carina Lima has also driven a great race without any problems and crossed the finish line at 8th place in the AM-class.

Teamowner Ingo Leipert:
"We are very satisfied with the end result of this race weekend. Despite the technical problems with the Lamborghini number 22 we have finally reached the podium with Jeroen Mul in the PRO class. Jeroen works absolutely effectively together with the team and the engineer. He acts professionally and we can see his way of working in the end result. We will surely be able to celebrate a lot of successes with Jeroen in the future.

Carina Lima participated for the first time since several months again in a race. She has improved constantly and has also been working intensive with the engineer. The progress of her performance can be measured from lap to lap. "

In the upcoming weeks after Eastern the team will go testing again with their drivers. The next race of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will start on 23-25th May in Silverstone.
