Atlantic Racing Announces New Driver For The 2014 Malaysian Super Series Race May 10th Weekend In Sepang

As part of the usually testing and practices before going into the Asian LeMans Series, Atlantic Racing Team
(ATL WOLF ASIA) decided to send one new 2014 advanced WOLF GB08 Honda powered CN/LMP3 race car to Sepang, Malaysia for the 2nd round of the Malaysian Super Series (MSS).

Ingo Strackerjan, Team Manager, smilingly explained; “We tried to be in Sepang for the first MSS event but due to some driver complications and delays with and at the European Customs we needed to take a deep breath and re-evaluated our shipping policies. It's all a learning process – rules change these days faster than 10 years ago.”

“We are excited to announce that we have Jordan Oon from Australia as our driver for the 2. Round MSS event in WOLF car.
Jordan is a well known driver in Asia, especially in Sepang where he had spent much time in various Formula cars and the FBMW Series. Jordan also went to Europe racing the F3 series – with many podium results.

His task, tire testing and next to hopefully being on the podium, is to evaluate the car and set it up for the hot climate in Asia. We have great confidence in him and always looked at him as one of the few Asian drivers with great potential. At this time we also discuss with him and sponsors a full season engagement.”

“We will be participating with two of the new 2014 WOLF Prototype cars in the Asian LeMans CN/LMP3 Class as the official factory team. We think right now that our new LMP2 car, under development at the factory in Italy, will join us at the last two ALMS races. We will give all our drivers the opportunity to test and perhaps race in it if and when there is an opportunity.” Strackerjan said.

ATL has openings in the Asian LeMans Series in one of the Prototype CN cars. For the individual who prefers their own cars, ATL can provide a brand new WOLF GB08 Prototype CN car as well as mechanical and technical personnel.
