The leading provider of professional and personal insurance services to the global motor sport industry for over 30 years, Ellis Clowes has supported the 19 year-old since he moved up to the Junior Max national karting ranks in 2011. The company continues its four-year strong backing as Brabham undertakes his first full single-seater championship campaign in 2014.

Experts across the entire spectrum of insurance risk management and associated insurance products, Ellis Clowes represent a world-class client base, from individual competitors and teams to championship organisers and governing bodies across every major motor sport championship.

The third generation driver will proudly sport Ellis Clowes branding on his team JTR EcoBoost Mygale, Brabham F1 inspired race car livery alongside valued long-term partners Forresters and Auto Windscreens, for the first time at Thruxton.

Brabham goes in to the third round triple-header race weekend having scored his best finish of the season so far, with second last time out at Donington Park. Currently lying sixth in the title fight with 24 rounds remaining, Brabham proved his Thruxton pace in official testing last month where he clocked in second fastest just 0.004 seconds off the top slot.

A third-place Formula Ford Scholarship finisher on his 2013 debut at the Hampshire circuit, Brabham will be looking to add to his tally of two outright podiums already secured this season to aid his climb up the championship table.

The only single-seater series to support the British Touring Car Championship, the Formula Ford action at Thruxton begins with qualifying at 09.00 on Saturday 3 May, followed by two 20-minute races at 14.45 and 17.05. Sunday’s round nine battle will take place at 15.15, aired live on ITV4.

Karen Ellis, Chief Executive of Ellis Clowes & Company Limited: “We are delighted once again to assist Sam Brabham with insurance coverage at this important stage of his career. We have supported Sam from the beginning and watched his confidence grow under the watchful eye of his Father David. The Brabham family have been loyal clients to Clowes over many years, and it is the least we can do to help the next generation of Brabhams on their way to stardom – it’s a hard act to follow, mind you!”

Sam Brabham: "I am really pleased to have the continued support of Ellis Clowes. It means a lot because Karen has played a big part in my racing career ever since I started karting. Our renewed partnership will give me a big boost heading in to Thruxton.”

David Brabham: “Ellis Clowes and the Brabham's personal and business relationships goes back two decades, so I am delighted that Ellis Clowes will continue to support Sam's racing this year from Thruxton onwards. This renewed partnership reinforces and helps to grow our valued relationship as the Brabham family builds another exciting era.”
