2014 Barber Park: Andretti Autosport Indy Lights Race Recap

Zach Veach, No. 26 RePLAY XD

Clinched his second career win and third podium (of three races) this season

Led from the green flag to the checkered flag

"You do it once, and you always want to do it again. We're very happy to be able to use our pole to our advantage since we didn't get that opportunity at Long Beach. I want to thank my Andretti Autosport team for doing that, RePLAY XD and of course JF Thormann (Andretti Autosport COO) - I want him to rest up; he had open heart surgery a few days ago. He's one of the guys that brought me to this team, so we definitely miss having him here."

Matthew Brabham, No. 83 United Fiber & Data/MAZDASPEED

Finished fourth after starting from the sixth position

Second consecutive top-four finish

"It was a good day... I think we're moving in the right direction. I felt a lot more comfortable in that race, so it was actually one of the first races I more-so enjoyed. I was battling with Jack Harvey there and it was a lot of fun even though I couldn't get around him. In the end, I made a few little mistakes just pushing a little bit too hard, trying to get a little bit too close, and I was losing a lot of aero behind him. It was tough, but at the end of the day, I think we're heading where we need to be, the United Fiber & Data/MAZDASPEED team working great, and I think if we can put it all together, we should be good."

Shelby Blackstock, No. 28 Starstruck

Came to the twin checkers in fifth place after starting sixth

Takes home second top-five finish of 2014

" It was okay; we finished fifth - I'm not happy with fifth. But, in the end, I think we answered a lot of questions with the car. If we had started this weekend with the setup we have now, we could have had a chance to go for the pole... Anyway, we got held up at the beginning of the race and then we were able to run down fourth place but in the end, we weren't able to get the last lap pass. Unfortunately we finished fifth, but at the end of the day, I'm pretty happy going into tomorrow.

Garett Grist, No. 27 DaVinci Foods/Lander Property Management

Finished Race One in the eighth position

Rookie's second top-10 finish of the season

"We learned a lot today. I don't think we were going in the right direction, so we'll go back and see what we can change for tomorrow to make Race Two better. Thank you to DaVinci Foods, Lander Property Management and the Andretti Autosport team for all their continued support and hard work."
