2014 Talladega: TriStar Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Race Preview


The NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for the Aaron's 312 on Saturday night. This 2.66-mile superspeedway is a speedway where anyone has a chance of crossing the finish line first.

Eric McClure, No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry
Eric McClure and the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry will make their eighth start at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend during the Aaron's Dream Weekend. With an average start of 31.6 and an average finish of 22.3, McClure is looking for a solid finish this weekend. Not only is McClure racing in the Nationwide Series race on Saturday, but he will also attempt to qualify for the Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday.

Mike Bliss, No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry
Mike Bliss is making his ninth start at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend in the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry. With two top-10 finishes and five top-20 finishes, Bliss is ready to go restrictor plate racing at the 2.66-mile superspeedway. Bliss has an average start of 19.1 and an average finish of 21.6. During last years race at Talladega Superspeedway, Bliss started the race from the 24th position and finished the race 14th.

David Starr, No. 44 TriStar Motorsports Camry
David Starr is back behind the wheel of the No. 44 TriStar Motorsports Camry this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. This weekend will mark Starr's third Nationwide Series start at the superspeedway, however Starr has eight starts in the Camping World Truck Series at Talladega Superspeedway with two top-5 finishes. This weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway will be Starr's fifth race with TriStar Motorsports.

Be sure to tune into the Aaron's 312 on ESPN2 at 2:30pm/et, Sirius Channel 90 and MRN Radio.

TriStar Motorsports Driver Appearances:
Friday, May 2, 1:45pm-2:30pm: NASCAR Nationwide Series Autograph Session, Mike Bliss & Blake Koch will be signing autographs and chatting with fans.
