Spanish Duo, At The Conquest Of Radical European Title

The Radical European Masters starts next weekend at Nürburgring, where its first venue of seven in 2014 kicks off the season. After the German track in Eifel, the championship is going to visit other mythic racing tracks in motorsport such as Brands Hatch (16-18 May), Hungaroring (4-6 July), Silverstone (15-17 August), Spa-Francorchamps (5-7 September), Monza (26-28 September) and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (17-19 October). In each and every round there will be a Spanish duo looking for wins and, ultimately, the title: Álvaro Fontes and Toni Forné. They both, with long experience and a large list of triumphs, will drive a Radical SR3 RS to face drivers coming from all corners of Europe.

“I arrive to the series teaming up with Álvaro, my new teammate, and I am very motivated to drive this Radical SR3 RS, a really joy to drive. The Radical European Masters is a great series on the international stage, visiting top-tracks, worldwide known like Nürburgring, Brands Hatch, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza or Barcelona. They are tracks where I raced before and very demanding for us as drivers, with plenty of up and down parts. Weather is quite changeable too, an additional difficulty”, Forné explains, pointing out that “it is a new car for me, downforce is huge and in high speed corners is incredible. My adaptation was not easy but now we are among the best drivers there”.

On the other hand, Fontes stresses, about his goals, “I think we have great options to fight for winning, and my teammate Toni and I will try our best to reach this ambitious goal”. Similarly, Forné adds that “we contest in SR3 RS class and we are ready for this challenge, fighting for partial wins and finally the title. If we win, we will take part in the World Finals taking place in Las Vegas, and we don´t want to miss this chance! I am looking forward achieving good results for our sponsors and team, and it is a real pleasure to share this project with them”.

The timetable for Nürburgring includes two races, with a duration of 50 minutes each, on Saturday at 12.50 and Sunday at 14.25.
