Toyo Tires Dominates In Short Course This Weekend With Kyle Leduc Sweeping Loorrs And Scott Douglas Winning In Torc

Toyo Tires® dominated short course off-road racing from coast to coast this past weekend as Team Toyo® drivers Kyle LeDuc and Scott Douglas proved once again that the Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R is the tire of champions. On the west coast LeDuc swept Rounds 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil® Off Road Racing Series race (LOORRS) at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore, CA. His Pro 4 Unlimited class, 900+ horsepower #99 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires Ford F-150 was untouchable all weekend as he took the top spot in each qualifier; set the fastest lap times and won both races.

“This weekend the #99 team was on point. Every time we touched dirt we were the fastest truck. Our two wins were backed up with fastest laps and top qualifier,” said Kyle LeDuc. “Helping to push us to the front were our Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires. They were our biggest advantage and we took it to victory both days and are now the series points leaders. It was an amazing weekend made of speed and consistency for our team.”

On the east coast, Scott Douglas won Sunday’s Round 4 of The Off-Road Championship series (TORC) during the Showdown at The Dirt Track in Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. Douglas’ #7 AMSOIL® / Borla® Exhaust / Walker Evans Racing / Toyo Tires Ford F-150 finished on top of the podium in Pro 4X4, the series’ premier class.

“Kyle LeDuc’s sweep this past weekend is reminiscent of the 2012 season when he captured the championship; the season is just underway and already he is pulling away from the pack,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “We also congratulate our newest member, Scott Douglas on his TORC series win.”

LeDuc also won Round 1 of LOORRS in Chandler, AZ and now has a strong lead in the 2014 championship points. He looks to extend his win streak in Rounds 5 and 6, May 30-31 at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, NV. The 16-race Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series can be seen on CBS Sports Network and MavTV.
