ALAMO ON BOARD: Alamo Rent A Car will sponsor Gallagher, as the brand will adorn the No. 23 Chevrolet Impala for Saturday’s event at Talladega Superspeedway. Alamo Rent A Car’s yellow and blue colors also serve as an associate sponsor during the entire 2014 season.

ROOKIE TEAMMATE: GMS Racing will field two ARCA Racing Series entries at Talladega, as Las Vegas, Nevada driver Scott Sheldon will drive the No. 20 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Impala. Joey Coulter’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team will crew the car.

CHASSIS INFORMATION: Gallagher will pilot Chassis No. 926 in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega Superspeedway. This is the same Chevrolet Impala the Ryan “Pickle” London-led team used during their trip to Talladega in 2013.

SALEM RECAP: Last Sunday at the ARCA Racing Series event at Salem (Ind.) Speedway, Gallagher started the Federated Auto Parts 200 presented by Crunch ‘N Nutter in the 12th position. Within 20 laps, Gallagher moved into the top-six, which is where the 24-year-old driver ran for the entire 202-lap race. Gallagher went on to cross the finish line in second-place for the second consecutive season.

MEET SPENCER: Gallagher will attend the Alabama Institute of the Deaf and Blind’s Race Fever at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame on Friday, May 2. At 5:30 p.m., Gallagher will do an on-stage interview with MRN’s Steve Post, and then will sign autographs for the children of the institute, as well as other attendees. A silent auction will also take place during the annual event.

SPENCER GALLAGHER QUOTE: “I’m really excited to head to Talladega this weekend. Superspeedway races are always exciting for the fans and I know the ARCA Racing Series will put on a good show on Saturday. The new group-qualifying format is definitely going to be interesting but my Allegiant Travel team has prepared a great Chevrolet for us to race and the ECR (Earnhardt Childress Racing) horsepower will be strong just like it is every week. After our second-place finish on Sunday in Salem, I know a win is right around the corner for our GMS Racing team.”
