Three Ferrari 458 Italia And Three Podiums For AF Corse At The Nurburgring, First Round Of The GT Open 2014

Podiums at will for the AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT3’s in the opening race of the International GT Open 2014.

At the Nurburgring, Giorgio Roda made his debut and immediately gained a great victory in race 2 (GTS class) together with his teammate Andrea Piccini. The duo did a great performance in their Ferrari 458 Italia #56 up to the first step of the podium. The Roda’s debut is great and his talent is already clear (Giorgio is the son of Gianluca, driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship). Other crew, another important result. Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin in the AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia #54 took the chequered flag in race 1 in the second position among the GTS cars. The two drivers reconfirm the very positive results gained last season in the GT Open and in different international competition.

Further important podium thanks to Claudio Sdanewitsch and Federico Leo in their AF Corse Ferrari #55. They finished race 1 in third position (GTS class) and have started in style the season; Sdanewitsch and Leo are protagonists of the motorsport for many season.

THE REMAINING RESULTS - In race 1, Roda and Piccini were fifth. In the same position Cameron-Griffin in race 2; Sdanewitsch and Leo, in race 2, were seventh.

The next round of the GT Open will be at Portimano, June 7th and 8th.
