Kvsh Racing & KV Afs Racing Team Notes For GP Of Indy


KVSH Racing driver Sebastien Bourdais is looking forward to the month of May, starting with the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis. He has shown to be consistently fast this year but has been a victim of incidents and currently sits 17th in the championship standings with 48 points, just 10 points out of 10th.

• Bourdais is the only driver to win four consecutive championships, taking the Champ Car World Series title in 2004 through to 2007.
• Bourdais is entering his ninth Verizon IndyCar Series season (previously ran five in Champ Car and three with IndyCar).
• The 2014 Grand Prix of Indianapolis will be Bourdais' 117th Verizon IndyCar Series start, fourth with KVSH and first IndyCar start on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
• In 116 career Verizon IndyCar Series starts, Bourdais has won 31 races placing him eighth on the all-time list and seventh with 31 pole positions.
• In 2012 he won the Grand-AM inaugural road race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Starworks Motorsport.
• Bourdais, 35, is a native of Le Mans, France but currently resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.

KV AFS Racing driver Sebastian Saavedra who has led two IndyCar races and also had two solid results heading into the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis. He now sits 13
th in the championship standings with 55 points and just three points away from 10th.
• Saavedra is entering his fifth Verizon IndyCar Series season.
• The 2014 Grand Prix of Indianapolis will be Saavedra's 42nd Verizon IndyCar Series start, 27th on a road/street course, fourth with KV AFS and first on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
• In 41 career Verizon IndyCar Series starts, Saavedra has earned three top-10 finishes with a best finish of eight last year.
• In 26 previous road/street course starts, Saavedra has a career best finish of eighth at Baltimore in 2013.
• Saavedra's best road/street course qualifying was at Baltimore in 2013 where he started ninth.
• Saavedra has an oval career best finish of 13th at Milwaukee last year.
• Saavedra, 23, is a native of Bogota, Columbia. He currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana.
