Stefan Landmann To Join Grasser Racing Team For Blancpain Sprint Series

Team Principal Gottfried Grasser signed Austrian Stefan Landmann (27) to contest for his team in the international Blancpain Sprint Series. He will replace Martin Matzke, who is taking a longer break from motorsports due to an accident, until the end of the season.

Driving in the silver category, Landmann will share a Reiter Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 with Austrian Sascha Halek. Both contest the Pro-Am class of the new Blancpain Sprint Series and are going to take part in their first joint race at Brands Hatch (GBR) next weekend.
The young race driver has a lot of potential to offer to the team, having scored three podium finishes including a victory in the ADAC GT Masters series, a class victory in the 24-hour race in a GT4 vehicle as well as several successful stints in endurance races at the Nordschleife.

“I am really excited and looking forward to the new Sprint series and my work with the successful Grasser team. It is our goal to win in our category. We are aware that it will be extremely difficult considering the very strong grid. It is a challenge I am happy to accept. The Lamborghini is easy to drive, has a good balance and fantastic manoeuvrability. The car gives perfect feedback to the driver at any point in time”, explains Stefan Landmann.

The next round of the Blancpain Sprint Series will take place at Brands Hatch from May 17th to 18th. Like the majority of the contestants, Stefan Landmann has no previous experience on that track. The driver, who has a university degree in business studies, will use on-board recordings and data logging to prepare for his task.

Team Principal Gottfried Grasser: “We are very happy to have Stefan (Landmann), the third driver from Austria, in the team. He is a strong and successful driver and a true asset for us. Now that we have the final line-up for the Sprint series, we can concentrate on racing.”
