• Bayne earned his first victory at Iowa Speedway in the June 9, 2013 event after starting 14th and leading 19 laps, including the final 12.

• Bayne’s average start of 5.6 at Iowa ranks fifth among all tracks that he has competed on in the NNS, trailing only Michigan International Speedway (5.2), Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway (4.8), Indianapolis (Ind.) Motor Speedway (3.0) and Lucas Oil (Ind.) Raceway Park (2.3).

• Bayne’s 58 laps led at Iowa rank third among all tracks he has competed on in the NNS, trailing Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway (77) and Lucas Oil (Ind.) Raceway Park (89).

• In the past eight NNS races held at Iowa Speedway, Bayne ranks fourth in quality passes (121) and in fastest laps run (84). The driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford also ranks fifth in laps run in the top 15 (1,031) and in green flag passes (156), as well as sixth in average running position (8.29), driver rating (106.8) and in fastest speed on restarts (124.40 mph), according to NASCAR’s loop data statistics.

History of the No. 6 Ford at Iowa

• In eight NNS races at Iowa Speedway, the No. 6 Ford for Roush Fenway Racing has earned four victories, five top-five finishes, six top-10 finishes and an average finish of seventh. Roush Fenway Racing drivers Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. have recorded wins for the No. 6 at the .875-mile short track.

The Car

• The No.6 AdvoCare team will race chassis RK-826 on Sunday afternoon in Iowa. This chassis most recently finished seventh at Phoenix International Raceway earlier this season.

Recapping Talladega

• Bayne and the No. 6 team overcame damage sustained in a Lap 61 incident and made up two laps late in the 117-lap event in order to earn his seventh top-10 finish of the 2014 NNS season, finishing 10th. With the result, Bayne moved into a tie for fourth in the championship standings, trailing leader Chase Elliott by 31 points.
QUOTE WORTHY

Bayne on racing at Iowa Speedway:

“I’m definitely excited to be heading back to Iowa, especially with our teams’ past history there. The No. 6 Ford always seems to run pretty strong there, which makes me confident that we can continue to carry the torch this weekend and get back to Victory Lane. Plus, with my wife’s birthday this weekend, there’s a little more pressure added since we seem to run well on special occasions. But overall, I’m just really looking forward to getting back to Iowa and having a strong run with the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang.”

Crew Chief Chad Norris on Iowa:
“We always look forward to coming back to Iowa Speedway. It’s a track that has been really strong for the No. 6 team in the past and we’re looking forward to continuing the strong runs for the car this weekend. Add in the fact that Trevor won this race last year and we are very confident that this will be a great weekend for us.”
