2014 Indianapolis 500: Andretti Autosport IndyCar Wednesday Practice Recap

Ryan Hunter-Reay, No. 28 DHL Honda

254 laps completed - the most of any driver thus far Currently eighth fastest overall at 225.110 mph Topped the charts during Practice 2 on Monday "We logged some miles today to test a few things, so the day wasn't a total loss. I think we are progressing pretty well with the DHL car. We've been focusing on the race car setup and running with teammates to help simulate some race conditions. We'll take a look at everything and start moving into qualifying work over the next two days."

E.J. Viso (substituting for James Hinchcliffe), No. 27 United Fiber & Data Honda

Has logged 216 laps over the four practice days Topped the charts Tuesday at 224.488 mph "Definitely a pretty short day with the rain, but we were able to run a little bit of the last part of the day until it started raining again. We've been putting some long runs on the car, just gathering data and working on the actual race car. We believe there are still some things to improve, but we're getting closer to where we need to be."

Kurt Busch, No. 26 Suretone Honda

165 laps down - 412.5 miles

"Double Outlaw" did not run today due to rain-shortened day "Each day out, the Andretti Autosport team has helped me with a game plan on what's next, so it's nice when you can have a solid forecast of what to expect. As far as guys getting tows and posting those good laps, some of my drafting experience helps from what I've seen at Daytona and Talladega; Indianapolis has a little bit of Darlington characteristics into it. What I mean by that is you have to be single file and you have to know which corner you are approaching at all times, and it's a matter of give and take with the other drivers out on the track. I haven't been around many guys, mostly the Andretti guys but it's been thumbs up right now. It's been nice to continue to find speed and to feel more comfortable in the car in the traffic." Marco Andretti, No. 25 Snapple Honda

135 laps completed

Best speed of 224.370 mph which occurred during today's Practice 4 "I think we're at a good place with the Snapple car for being mid-week with practice. The race car is good and I'm pleased with it. From here we'll start working on qualifying trim and go for that front row."

Carlos Muñoz, No. 34 Cinsay Honda

187 laps completed or 467.5 miles

Turned 41 laps during today's rain delayed and shortened practice "We haven't run much this week... so far we've only really had two and a half days and the Cinsay/AndrettiTV team has been really successful. We had pretty good speeds but really it's too early to know. We're hoping the weather will improve and be able to get more track time tomorrow and Friday before we qualify this weekend.
