Practice five for the 2014 Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana has been completed with Team Penske driver Helio Castroneves and his No. 3 Chevrolet setting the pace at 227.166 mph. The lap is the fastest time of the month so far breaking the time set yesterday by Simon Pagenaud of 226.122 mph.

Second quick was Ed Carpenter and his No. 20 Chevrolet leading the way with a lap of 226.257 mph

Third on the timesheets was another Penske driver - Will Power - and his No. 12 Chevrolet with a lap of 225.899 MPH.

Townsend Bell and his No. 6 Chevrolet was fourth quick with Ryan Hunter-Reay and his No. 28 Honda putting up the fifth fastest time.

Overall, 35 IndyCar entries took to the track during the session, with 34 setting times. Practice will continue tomorrow on Fast Friday!
