Setup Continues As Charlotte Motor Speedway Prepares For 55th Running Of The Coca-Cola 600

After a successful NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, Charlotte Motor Speedway officials have been busy this week switching gears for the 55th running of the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday. On-track action kicks off Thursday with LiftMaster Pole Night and continues Friday with the Coca-Cola Family Track Walk, Saturday with the NASCAR Nationwide Series HISTORY 300 and concludes with NASCAR’s ultimate test, the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday.

Among the most notable changes fans will see is the changeover of the infield logo from the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race to the Coca-Cola 600.

Artist Alan Jones and his crew, who have been painting logos on the infield at Charlotte Motor Speedway for 30 years, spent three days bringing the Coca-Cola 600 logo to life. Speedway officials captured the cover up in a time-lapse video that can be downloaded at the link above.

The $99 Coca-Cola 600 weekend package includes tickets to LiftMaster Pole Night on Thursday, May 22; the NASCAR Nationwide Series HISTORY 300 on May 24; and the historic 55th running of the Coca-Cola 600, complete with a Brantley Gilbert pre-race concert on Sunday, May 25.
