Tradition Meets ‘Young Gun’ - Union Glashutte New Partner Of Sareni Camaro

To label the new cooperation between Union Glashütte and Reiter Engineering under the motto ‘Tradition meets Modern Age’ would probably be too simple. The watch brand can easily fulfil these two styles alone: the watch maker from the Saxon town Glashütte boasts a wealth of experience since it roots stretch back to 1893. At the same time, with its timeless, sportingly elegant watches it reliably strikes a chord with lovers of mechanical timepieces.

The business unit SaReNi Camaro established in 2013 by Reiter Engineering would also succeed in justifying ‘Tradition meets Modern Age’: the racing duo Tomas Enge and Albert von Thurn und Taxis aim to demonstrate what the SaReNi Camaro GT3 American muscle car is capable of in the ADAC GT Masters this year and shake up the competition. The traditional part of this constellation is probably the racing driver Albert von Thurn und Taxis, whose family history dates back to the 16th century. He has an experienced team mate on his side in the form of ex-Formula 1 driver Tomas Enge.

The combination of tradition and modern age could also be the common denominator in the partnership between Union Glashütte and SaReNi Camaro. The pursuit of absolute precision, the constant demands for high quality as well as the desire to develop technical works of art unites the two German companies distinguished in their industries and proves that they also share essential ‘core values’ with one another.

The President of Union Glashütte, Adrian Bosshard, considers this an excellent supplement to the previous sponsorship activities: "The ADAC GT Masters racing series is one of the most hard fought and interesting car racing championships in Germany. This is an ideal platform to give the motorsport affine public a better understanding of the values of our traditional Saxon watch maker Union Glashütte. The SaReNi Camaro racing team is a professional squad of the expert engineers and technicians - we also see many parallels with our brand in this area."

"We aim to enhance the ADAC GT Masters together with our new partner Union Glashütte and our racecar and demonstrate our expertise once again in the area of developing and manufacturing GT3 racecars. I wear a ‘Belisar Chronograph’ from Union Glashütte and not least because of this I am very proud that we could attract this traditional brand as partner for our team," says Hans Reiter, owner of Reiter Engineering, one of the leading companies in international GT3 motorsport.
