The fastests of the pack were the two Koiranen GP team mates George Russell (in the morning) and Nyck de Vries, who managed to set the quickest overall time in the afternoon session, clocking 1'30"265. Behind them, in both sessions there was Alessio Rovera (Cram Motorsport) that proved to be at ease on the Austrian circuit.

The wild card Ignazio D'Agosto impressed in the first session. Him too racing with Koiranen GP showed some good skills as the very young Mattevos Isaakyan, fifth in the morning and eleventh in the afternoon.

The French Simon Gachet was on the last virtual podium step in the afternoon, where he lapped quicker than Russell, Dario Capitanio (BVM Racing) and Charles Leclerc (Fortec Motorsports). The young Italian Matteo Gonfiantini (TS Corse) was tenth, just behind James Allen (Arta Engineering), D'Agosto and Hugo De Sadeleer (Tech 1 Racing).
