Concluding Saturday, May 24 in Charlotte, Coca-Cola Speed Street presented by Chevrolet entertained an estimated 400,000 fans over the course of three days with live entertainment, access to racing’s brightest stars and interactive displays.

Coca-Cola Speed Street presented by Chevrolet is estimated to have entertained approximately 8 million guests in 20 years, which is more than 10 times the population of Charlotte.

"It’s incredible to see the growth of Coca-Cola Speed Street presented by Chevrolet over the past 20 years," said Jay Howard, president of the 600 Festival Association. "The community support has made the festival a city staple. We would like to thank every fan, sponsor and supporter for making this milestone possible."

Since its inception, the fan-favorite event has been visited by approximately 320 drivers including Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Junior Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick and many others.

Additionally, this year’s music entertainment, Who’s Bad, Thompson Square and 38 Special, joined the 100 award-winning musicians that have graced the Coca-Cola Speed Street presented by Chevrolet stages over the course of 20 years, including Keith Urban, 3 Doors Down, Survivor, MC Hammer, Jamey Johnson, Luke Bryan, Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry and many more.

Also celebrating a significant milestone is the nonprofit organization responsible for Coca-Cola Speed Street presented by Chevrolet and promoting and celebrating motor sports in the Charlotte region, the 600 Festival™ Association.

Originally formed to promote the May races at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the 600 Festival™ Association has made a significant impact on the community by bringing race fans to the city early, promoting a positive image of the city, and providing free entertainment and motor sports education to local residents.

To provide fans and locals alike more opportunities to celebrate motor sports throughout the region, the 600 Festival™ Association offered three new May events in 2014: Movies on the Campus in Kannapolis, North Carolina; Haulers on Union in Concord, North Carolina; and the Little 600 in Mooresville, North Carolina.

"The local communities have showed us so much support over our 30-year history, and we were thrilled to bring these new events to each city," said Jacqueline Gafrarar, general manager of the 600 Festival™ Association. "We are looking forward to another 30 years of fan entertainment in support of motor sports."
