Guest appearance on the circuit: Rally champion Ogier with convincing performance in the Audi R8 LMS ultra

World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier showed his class on his guest start in the ADAC GT Masters at the Lausitzring. In the Audi R8 LMS ultra of Christian Abt's team Prosperia C. Abt Racing, the Frenchman completed lap times to equal the GT specialists, and that was despite him missing two training sessions. Alongside ex-Formula One driver and GT World Champion Markus Winkelhock, Ogier finished thirteenth in the first race after an accident that wasn't their fault. In the second race, the duo started from nineteenth on the grid and pulled off a spectacular pursuit to finish eighth. Their two team-mates Kelvin van der Linde/René Rast (ZA/D) did even better, finishing only 2.6 seconds behind Claudia Hürtgen/Dominik Baumann to make it onto the podium in second place. The South African, who is just 17 years of age and the 2013 champion of the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup, secured his fifth spot on the podium in the sixth race of the season. In the drivers' standings, van der Linde/Rast have 100 points, putting them in second place, behind Jaap van Lagen. The fourth round of the ADAC GT Masters seasons takes place in Spielberg from 6 to 8 June.

“powered by Volkswagen” three times: one victory for MacLeod, two for Pommer

In races two and three of the Formula 3 “national league” Pommer didn't stop at winning, he also picked up bonus points for the fastest lap and three for his pole positions. However, this was only enough to pick up two more points than rival Sam MacLeod (GB), who celebrated one victory and completed two fastest laps.
