Leipert Motorsport (Wegberg) - Automobili Lamborghini RACING TEAM GERMANY

The free practises went very well. Carina Lima improved her performance from lap to lap, although it was her first rain-mission with the Lamborghini. Jeroen Mul took the first free practise to running-in the brakes. In the 2nd free practise he set the 2nd fastes lap time. Very good conditions for the Qualifying sessions.

But the weather was the undisputed protagonist of Saturday morning. Pouring rain heavily affected the Qualifying session. For safety reasons the race control stopped the session only a few minutes after the green light. The starting grid was thus set with the average of times from the two free practise sessions, held on Friday. Therefore Jeroen Mul took place in 7th starting position, Carina Lima in position 21.

Because of the bad weather conditions race one has started under safety car.

Jeroen with car #22 has shown a constantly perfect performance, overtook one car after the other and worked his way forward. By reason of a perfect planned and implemented Pit Stop he gained once again a place. After that he battled with the first placed car and overtook him. So he could present the delighted team a 1st place overall and the 1st place in the Pro-Class.

Carina with car #21 finished the thrilling race in the 21st position and has shown, that she grows with her job.

After the perfectly reached overall victory in the first race Jeroen Mul started the 2nd race on Sunday as race leader - and he didn't intend to give up his place.

After the rolling start he dominated the whole race and finished again in 1st position overall and 1st position Pro-class - he leads the field with 32,891 seconds before the 2nd placed car.

Carina Lima finished in position 20 - with constant lap times and without any visits in the gravel as some of her driver colleagues from other teams.

Team owner Ingo Leipert: The second round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe was a totally perfect race weekend for our team and the drivers. The cars have been running smoothly and the drivers have been given their best. What more can you want. We are already looking forward to the next Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race weekend at Paul Ricard in June.

Upcoming Wednesday Leipert Motorsport will start to Zandvoort Circuit to participate in the exciting 12h race of Creventic with the Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 and the drivers Maximilian Völker, Michael Golz and Jeroen Mul.
