Avf Drivers Shine In Renault Nec Silverstone Round

Monza, Silverstone, Spa. If there's something one could undoubtedly say about the F.Renault 2.0 NEC, is that the first three rounds of the calendar are hosted by some of the most legendary racing circuits in the world. On venues that can be considered as true motorsport cathedrals AVF keeps shining, one session after the other. After the positive results obtained in Monza in April, the team owned and managed by Adrian Valles enjoyed another fruitful weekend in Silverstone, the home of British Motorsport. On the very same track that in a few weeks will host the F1 Grand Prix, Matthew Graham did an amazing job finishing Race 1 in the top ten despite very difficult wet conditions, and in Race 2 he did even better clinching a 4th place finish. Thanks to those results, he lies now seventh in the drivers standings, being one of the few drivers who managed to bag points in each and every race contested so far.

AVF's other drivers did a very good job too: Roy Geerts finished Race 1 in P12 with a very good performance, while in Race 2 he was forced to retire. After crossing the line in P21 in Race 1, Josef Zaruba boasted an amazing recovery in the second race to finish 12th, while rookie Nicholas Surguladze put more useful miles under his belt completing both races, in P23 and P22 respectively.

Adrian Valles – Team Principal
“Our performances are getting better one race after the other, and that's exactly what we were aiming for. Our drivers are all rookies in F.Renault 2.0, but their are proving their worth. Graham is getting closer and closer to a podium finish and I hope we will already be able to celebrate next weekend in Spa. Geerts, Zaruba and Surguladze are making the most of the mileage to improve their performances every time they get on track, so I'm sure they'll get up there very soon too".
