Mooresville, NC (May 26, 2014) - With its steeply banked turns and reputation for brutal treatment on both driver and machine, Dover International Speedway has more than earned its nickname of the, "Monster Mile" since opening in 1969 for the inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series "Mason-Dixon 300." However, it wasn't until the fall of 2000 that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) was added to the track schedule, and since, has been a Friday staple to the spring tripleheader race weekend. This weekend's Lucas Oil 200 marks the 15th annual Truck Series event at the fast one-mile concrete oval and although Dover's signature icon Miles the Monster has been known to scare the competition, Truck Series rookies have had their fair share of success at the Delaware track.

In 14 prior NCWTS races, two drivers; Kurt Busch (2000), and Aric Almirola (2010) have scored their first Truck Series wins at Dover in their first full-time season, and two additional drivers; Scott Speed (2008), and Brian Scott (2009) went to victory lane for the first time in the Truck Series at Dover. Tyler Young, a 2014 Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, is in his first full season in the series and he will be betting on the history books as he makes his Dover debut in Friday night's Lucas Oil 200.

A penny for your thoughts: Tyler Young, Driver, No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado -
Does the 'Monster Mile' intimidate you?
"The Truck Series, in my opinion, is one of the most competitive series in NASCAR and I believe Dover is one of the most challenging tracks we will visit all year. Its high banked, produces high speeds and it's a tough little track for both driver and equipment. I feel like if I can manage my tires and equipment, I may have a chance to survive the Monster Mile and claim one of the coolest trophies in all of NASCAR - a Miles the Monster."

A penny for your thoughts: Bryan Berry, Crew Chief, No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado -
What challenges will Tyler face as he makes his Dover debut this weekend?
"Dover is a challenging track for anyone, especially rookies. Tire wear can be an issue, so you have to be able to manage your tires. You are in the turns two-thirds of the time, so it can be demanding on the driver and your handling has to be just right. The truck will change over the course of a run, so you need a truck that's good at the beginning of a run and at the end of a run. Most importantly you have to be able to make your way through traffic and manage your equipment."

Fast & Fun Facts:
Young will make his Dover International Speedway debut in Friday night's Lucas Oil 200
In addition to making his Dover debut, Young will also make his debut on a concrete oval
Calling the shots for the No. 02 Young's Motorsports team is veteran crew chief Bryan Berry. As an 11-year veteran of the NCWTS, Berry has 182 starts to his resume, including nine starts at DIS. His success includes one top-10 finish with Brendan Gaughan (2011)
Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner... Young participated in the Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge on Monday, May 19 at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC to support service-disabled veterans. The one-of-a-kind go kart event featured a two hour team relay format karting race with fans personally racing on the same kart team with NASCAR drivers. Young and team proved to be the class of the field, taking home the hardware in the first annual event.

Rookie Race:
Following the N.C. Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Young remains third in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year battle, a mere six points behind second place Mason Mingus and 22 points behind leader Tyler Reddick.

Chassis History:
Young's Motorsports will unload "Old Faithful" for the 15th annual Lucas Oil 200 at Dover International Speedway on Friday. Chassis 001 was the first truck Young's Motorsports owned and has made eight starts, including; the team's first-ever start at Rockingham Speedway (2012), and the team's best start at Bristol Motor Speedway (2012). This chassis was last seen at Martinsville Speedway in March.

Rearview Mirror-Charlotte:
After qualifying a track-best 23rd for the N.C. Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Young experienced engines woes just prior to the halfway point in the 134-lap event. The unfortunate result relegated the Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender to a 28th-place finish in just his second start at the 1.5-mile quad-oval.

Truck Series Fast Facts:
2014 marks Young's first full-time season in the NCWTS
Young has made 15 starts in the series since 2012
First start - Rockingham (2012)
Best start - 13th, Bristol (2012)
Best finish - 19th, Texas Motor Speedway (June, 2013)
