Kvsh Racing & KV Afs Racing Team Notes For Chevrolet Indy Dual In Detroit


KVSH Racing driver Sebastien Bourdais is hoping to continue the momentum he has had this month going into Detroit. Bourdais is coming off a fourth place finish at the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis, May 10 and then a career high seventh at the Indianapolis 500 last weekend. He moved up nine spots in the championship standings and now sits eighth with 143 points, 49 from fifth.

• Bourdais is the only driver to win four consecutive championships, taking the Champ Car World Series title in 2004 through to 2007.

• Bourdais is entering his ninth Verizon IndyCar Series season (previously ran five in Champ Car and three with IndyCar).

• The 2014 Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit will be Bourdais' 119th and 120th Verizon IndyCar Series start, sixth and seventh with KVSH and fourth and fifth at Detroit.

• In 118 career Verizon IndyCar Series starts, Bourdais has won 31 races placing him eighth on the all-time list and seventh with 31 pole positions.

• Bourdais, 35, is a native of Le Mans, France but currently resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.
