Good Feelings For Ghiotto On Spa Practice Day

From Monte-Carlo to Spa in just four days. After completing the season's most challenging round in the streets of Monaco Luca Ghiotto had no time to rest at all, as he traveled to Belgium to take part in the fourth round of the F.Renault 3.5 championship in Spa-Francorchamps.
The only Italian driver in the series, Luca enjoyed a very good start to his Belgian weekend: despite being at his first experience on this track with a powerful car such as the FR3.5 Dallara, the Italian young gun was quick straight out of the box and ended the session as high as P6.

Boosted by the good laptimes and a very positive feeling Luca was ready to do even better in the afternoon, but his session was hampered by a little mistake: Luca ran wide at Les Combes and jumped hard on the speed bumps, hence damaging his car's steering. He was still able to finish the session and put more miles under his belt, but he couldn't push as much as he would have liked to. Still, Luca is upbeat and confident, and he's looking forward to tomorrow's qualifying session, scheduled at 10.25 AM. Race 1 will then follow at 3.20 PM.

Luca Ghiotto: FP1 - P6; FP2 - P15

"I really like Spa, last year I clinched a great win in F.Renault 2.0 here so I wasn't surprised this morning when I saw that good laptimes started coming pretty easily, even if it was my first time here with the FR3.5 car. Unluckily, while I was pushing hard I ran wide entering Les Combes and ended up on the speed bumps, slightly damaging my steering rack. That hampered my afternoon session too, but all in all the feeling with both the car and the track is good, so I believe we can aim for a good result tomorrow".
