2014 Dover: Ford NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying Quotes

BRAD KESELOWSKI, No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion - QUALIFIED 1st (PIT ROAD INTERVIEW)

"They gave me a great car here with the Miller Lite Ford Fusion. I didn’t feel like I got it all the first run. I like this group qualifying and I got another shot at it. I think we have been pretty decent and there are a lot of great cars in race trim. The 18 looked good and the 4 has been strong and we have a lot to go. There is a lot left in the weekend. We have practice tomorrow and we just have to keep working."

GREG BIFFLE, No. 16 3M Ford Fusion - QUALIFIED 12th

"We started our really good on a green track but as it rubbered up we were getting slower. We were a little tight right there too. The groove is so narrow the difference between missing it and making it is so small it isn’t even funny. Then we were playing the cloud game trying to get it just right. We will start in the top-12 and I guess that is a start." HOW MUCH DID THE SUN AFFECT THINGS? "It affected it a tenth or two. It kept us in the top-12 and then we finished 12th. It’s not where we want to be, but we will keep working at it."

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion - QUALIFIED 3rd (PRESS CONFERENCE)

"All I heard was Kyle say he came up a little short and I guess I am the same thing, just a little shorter. We picked up a lot of speed from where we were in practice. Our Shell Pennzoil Ford wasn’t very good and didn’t have a bunch of speed but we made good adjustments to get faster there. We just over adjusted a little from the first run to the second run on trying to free it up and we just couldn’t give it the gas as aggressive as I needed to."

CAN YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR STRATEGY? "I think everyone was looking for a cloud. Everyone was staring up looking for clouds. I was watching on my Fan Vision and the crew chiefs were all staring up into the sun and seeing where the clouds were. That is what we were doing and a lot of cars were doing the same thing. Then again, the 2 car just went straight out and didn’t worry about that. Maybe we were just looking for a ghost out there somewhere."
