Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Leh Keen (Charleston, S.C.) took the two practice sessions today to get acclimated to the 2.3-mile, 13-turn circuit located in the middle of the Detroit River. The duo ran in the top five in the first practice and second in the second in the last practice. Overall, they were fifth on the day. In qualifying, the fact that the race is only 100-minutes long, motivated the GTD field to put in fast qualifying laps. Keen had the wheel of the WeatherTech Porsche in qualifying and posted a time of 1:33.383 that will have the team starting on row four in the ultra-competitive GTD field.

"Practice was good," Keen said. "We came off the truck for the first practice and the WeatherTech Porsche was really good. We are doing all of the right things. We have a push in the car, hoping the track would come to us a little bit. The push is good for the race and the car is comfortable to drive. It helps not to have the rear sliding out to the walls. It is very tight up at the front of the field. The qualifying effort was solid. We are toward the front of the field, which is important at a tight track like this one. Cooper is doing a great job and he will have a strong start to the race tomorrow. The race is a short one, it will be a full sprint."

MacNeil likes his first taste of the Belle Isle circuit.

"This is my first time here, so far I really like it," MacNeil said. "The car is handling good through these tricky streets. We may try a few adjustments for the warm-up tomorrow morning, but the car is really close. The race is only 100-minutes, so I am going to see if I can get a few positions before I hand the car over to Leh. The Alex Job guys always have great pit stops and their strategy will have us in a position to win tomorrow."

Alex Job, team owner, will have the team ready.

"Leh did a good job in qualifying," Job said. "Cooper has had a measured approach working down his lap times and we are very pleased with the way he has learned this tricky track. It is only 100-minutes of racing. We can make up places in the pits and we will need a full effort from everyone tomorrow to get up to the front where this car belongs."

The TUDOR Championship Detroit Grand Prix at Belle Isle Park will take the green flag tomorrow at 12:10 p.m. ET and will be televised, same day, on Fox Sports 1 starting at 1:30 p.m. ET.

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GTD (GT Daytona) Class is made up of some the world's most sophisticated cars, including the Porsche 911 GT America, Ferrari 458, Aston Martin, BMW Z4, Viper SRT and Audi R8. All GTD Class cars run on the spec Continental tire.

Alex Job Racing is one of the most successful teams in sports car racing with 70 wins (since 1995); including two Rolex 24 GT Class wins in 1999 and 2013. This record is supported by 48 pole positions and 106 podium finishes. The team has won five championships (GTC 2013, 2012, GT in 2004, 2003 and 2002) complimented by their two GT class wins at Le Mans. The team also boasts nine Sebring 12-hour wins.
