2014 Detroit II: IndyCar Qualifying Results - Sato, Honda On Pole!



Takuma Sato and his No. 14 Honda IndyCar took the Pole for the second race of the Chevrolet Indy Dual In Detroit with a track record lap of 1:16.1371.

Takuma Sato and his No. 14 Honda IndyCar took the Pole for the second race of the Chevrolet Indy Dual In Detroit with a track record lap of 1:16.1371. For Sato, it is his second Pole of the 2014 season, and 5th of his IndyCar career.

Qualifying second was Helio Castroneves and his No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet 1:16.3624. For the Brazilian, he will start from the front row for the second time this weekend, after taking Pole in the first race.

Third fastest in qualifying for the second race of the weekend was Ryan Briscoe and his No. 8 Chevrolet.

Simon Pagenaud and his No. 77 Honda will start fourth followed by Sebastian Saavedra and his No. 17 Chevrolet.

The second race of the weekend will be run later today on ABC.
