King To Sit Out Race Three In Hungary

Carlin’s Jordan King will sit out the final race of the weekend at the Hungarian round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship today, due to a technical issue. The British squad have elected to withdraw King from the final round of the weekend to allow essential repairs to be carried out on the number 5 Carlin Dallara. The British racer will consequently be able to compete at the next round at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, with no resulting penalties.

Trevor Carlin said “It’s very unfortunate that Jordan will miss the final round of the weekend and of course extremely frustrating for him – when faced with circumstances outside his control. However, we’ve taken the decision that it is better to miss this race and work with the engineers at Volkswagen to solve the issue, rather than jeopardise any further of Jordan’s races.”

King had been due to start today’s final race from eighth on the grid. The Carlin man will be back in action at the Spa-Francorchamps round later this month.
