2014 Detroit: IndyCar Race Two Results - Castroneves, Chevrolet Win!



Helio Castroneves and his No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet has won the Chevrolet Indy Dual In Detroit race two on the street circuit on Belle Isle.

Helio Castroneves and his No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet has won the Chevrolet Indy Dual In Detroit race two on the street circuit on Belle Isle. For Castroneves, it is his first win and fourth podium of the 2014 IndyCar season, and 23rd IndyCar career triumph. Overall, Castroneves has 29 major open-wheel wins. It is also Castroneves first IndyCar win at Belle Isle, he also had two wins (2000 & 2001) at Belle Ilse racing in the defunct CART series.

Finishing second was Will Power and his No. 12 Team Penske Chevrolet. For Power, it is his fourth podium of the 2014 IndyCar season, and 36th podium of his IndyCar career. His last podium came back in yesterday when he won the first race of the weekend.

In third, Charlie Kimball and his No. 83 Chevrolet would pick up his first podium of the 2014 IndyCar season and 4th of his IndyCar career.

Scott Dixon and his No. 9 Chevrolet would finish fourth with James Hinchcliffe and his No. 27 Honda rounding out the top five finishers.

Next up for the IndyCar series will be the annual visit to Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas next Sunday.
