“We are thrilled to welcome Dominic to the Circuit of The Americas family,” Dial said. “Bringing in someone of his caliber is a huge win for the organization. He is an outstanding leader and brings a wealth of marketing and brand-building expertise, making him a perfect complement to our team.”

Iacono has led some of the best-known global consumer packaged goods brands during his 11-year career at Procter & Gamble (P&G), including Duracell, Luvs, Pampers and major P&G brands sold through Target stores. The 39-year-old most recently served as global marketing director for the Duracell brand and was credited as one of the key leaders to help return the Duracell brand to growth. Iacono led Duracell’s introduction into sports marketing with the National Football League and was the lead architect behind Duracell’s extremely successful “Trust the Power Within” sports campaign, which went viral with more than 30 million online views. “We have a world-class facility with world-class sports and entertainment offerings throughout the calendar year,” Dial noted. “Bringing on Dominic is part of an overall effort to build our world-class team. Our team has accomplished a tremendous amount in just 18 months of operations, welcoming over one million guests and garnering many of the most prestigious awards like ‘Sports Event of the Year’, ‘Track of the Year’, and ‘Best New Major Concert Venue’ in the world. It is important we continue this momentum by building awareness, trial and loyalty for our multiple offerings and, therefore, this is a strategic investment in our capabilities to ensure we become a consistent top choice for entertainment.”

“I am very excited to join the COTA team and help bring attention to the premium products and world-class experiences our fans enjoy each time they visit the circuit,” Iacono said. “The world’s best drivers, riders, athletes and artists come to COTA to compete and perform, and I look forward to helping the team consistently deliver exceptional experiences that delight our members and guests.”

Prior to his tenure at P&G, Iacono served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

In concert with the hiring of Iacono, Geoff Moore, who served in the dual role of chief revenue and marketing officer for the company, will continue in his sales leadership role as chief revenue officer. Moore will continue to oversee ticket sales, partnership sales, and ticket operations.

“Geoff has done a great job getting us to this point and as we continued to grow and attract world-class sports and entertainment properties, like the X Games, and it was necessary to build out the marketing expertise to allow Geoff to focus his attention on building our sales capabilities,” Dial added.
