Fresh from his retirement from the Italian Grand Prix, Niccolò Antonelli did only 14 laps, setting a best time of 1’58”7 and performing some checks on his bike ahead of the upcoming race, scheduled for June 15th in Barcelona.

His team-mate, Enea Bastianini, although slowed by a light rain during the afternoon, was able to keep a good pace trying different solutions of shock absorbers. The 16-year-old rookie finished the day with a total of 49 laps with a best time of 1’57”8.

“Today we decided to make only a few laps to make sure everything was working on the bike used on last Sunday’s Grand Prix, without making any special work. Now we look forward to the next race at Montmelò”.

“It’s been a positive test, in which we could try different solutions, basically to improve my cornering speed; we then focused on the suspension, trying some shock absorbers that worked well, others less so. I couldn’t do many laps because a light rain slowed down our programme, but I am happy with the outcome of this test”.

“Today Niccolò made only a few laps to make sure that everything was fine on his bike ahead of the upcoming Grand Prix in Barcelona; Enea instead did a good job on the suspension, evaluating some new shock absorbers solutions that allowed us to find some improvements”.
