The Catalunya Grand Prix starts in the best way, the first practice round saw both riders of the Pramac Racing team in the top ten, Andrea Iannone third and ninth Yonny Hernandez. The FP2 is characterized by a heat wave and a very high temperature of the asphalt that put the bikes and riders in difficult conditions. Andrea Iannone (# 29) focuses the all the work to solve the problems of lack of grip on the rear tire in the afternoon but the conditions made it difficult to improve the mornings performance. The Changes made on his GP14 did not lead to the total solution of the problem, but despite this, the lap time recorded in FP1 of 1'42'441 placed him sixth in the combined classification.

His Team-mate Yonny Hernandez (# 68) reconfirms in FP1 the good work done at Mugello, gaining the ninth position. During the second session, the Colombian rider improved by a tenth, riding with in 1'42'860 and finishing in eighth place. However, despite Yonny finished in the top ten in both sessions, the combined classification did not reward him and placing him in twelfth position.

It was a successful day for both riders of the Pramac Racing Team, who have collected a lot of data in order to improve their performance; This will allow them to face tomorrow knowing what to do.

Andrea Iannone (Pramac Racing)

"Today we concentrated our efforts to find more grip on the rear tire to try to be able to gain more time in some points of the track. Despite all the efforts we made, unfortunately it’s not the result we were looking for. I Still struggle a lot in the fast corners where I want to push harder. In any case, we have gathered a lot of data in order to face the problem and solve it as soon as possible tomorrow. "

Yonny Hernandez (EnergyT.I. Pramac Racing)

"I am very happy with the result that we got today, since the morning session I was able to ride fast. Working together with the team we were able to slightly improve the bike compared to Mugello and I am convinced that tomorrow we will be able to take another step forward and maybe qualify directly into QP2.
