2014 Le Mans 24: Zytek Z11sn Wins Classic Le Mans 24 Hour Jota Sport Takes Epic Victory

In what was a truly classic Le Mans 24 Hour race the Zytek Z11SN powered chassis of JOTA Sport took the LMP2 class victory, after an epic battle which went right down to the last lap. JOTA’s Simon Dolan, Harry Tincknell and team returnee Oliver Turvey secured the British team’s first Le Mans 24 hour victory.

Having secured an LMP2 front row starting position for the 82nd Edition of the Le Mans 24 Hour, courtesy of Tincknell, JOTA made the most of the cars pace with a carefully planned strategic race. In what will be remembered as a ‘classic’ race with its fair share of weather induced drama, all three of Jota’s driver’s put in a stunning performance to take a pressurized win.

Driver and team owner Simon Dolan was overjoyed as he accepted his winner’s trophy on the podium and said he could not believe it.

With the Zytek/Nissan powered cars of TDS Ligier and G-Drive Ligier coming in 2nd and 5th respectively, this was truly a Le Mans to remember for Zytek.

Bill Gibson Zytek’s Founder and Chairmen said "Congratulations to all at JOTA Sport, a victory in this prestigious race means so much. It reminds us all why we do this; the tension and excitement when the racing is so close is very stimulating and rewarding.

This result just underlines our intent to remain at the front in LMP racing with our new Coupe car".
