Zac Brown Tribute Takes the Red Cat Summer Stage During Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen

Watkins Glen International is excited to announce the Zac Brown Tribute Band of Rochester, NY will be returning to The Glen as the Red Cat Summer Stage headliner for Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 26-29. Opening for them will be singer songwriter Tim Ruffo of Maine, NY. Scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., the concert will take place behind the Sir Jackie Stewart Grandstand, Friday, June 27.

“There is a lot going on during this race weekend – even more than before, and the band is another reason that people should come out and witness the action,” stated Michael Printup, President of Watkins Glen International. “For as little as 75 dollars fans can enjoy an entire weekend of entertainment.”

This will be the Zac Brown Tribute Band’s second appearance at WGI. In 2013, the Zac Brown Tribute Band opened for Tim Dugger on the Red Cat Summer Stage for Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen. The Zac Brown Tribute Band (ZBTB) is considered the nation’s premier Zac Brown tribute band and the only 7 piece tribute band in the country. With all members hailing from New York State, the Zac Brown Tribute Band presents audiences with a wide range of original songs as well as covers.

Opening act, Tim Ruffo of Maine, NY will be making his debut at The Glen after recording two albums and performing all over New York and Pennsylvania as a solo artist with the Tim Ruffo Band and The Ruffo Brothers. Influenced by a variety of Outlaw Country icons such as Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, as well as groups such as Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones, Ruffo creates a country rock sound rooted in emotions drawn from personal experience.

Tickets for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 26-29, can be purchased online at TheGlen.com or by calling 866.461.RACE. Weekend admission is $75 in advance or $90 during event weekend. Sunday ONLY admission is $65 in advance or $75 during event weekend.
