Antonelli Regains Confidence With A Race Simulation At Aragon Set-Up Work For Bastianini

After Enea Bastianini’s sensational podium finish at the Circuit de Catalunya, the Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3 took to the track today at MotorLand Aragon for the first of two days of testing scheduled at the Spanish circuit that next September 28th will host the 14th round of the 2014 World Championship.

Niccolò Antonelli completed a successful race simulation, maintaining a steady pace: an encouraging result ahead of the upcoming events for the 18-year-old rider from Rimini, who needs to regain the right confidence with his bike. At the end of the day, Niccolò put in no less than 76 laps.

His team-mate, Enea Bastianini, covered 43 laps and took advantage of this first day of testing to explore together with his team some new set-up solutions that might be useful for the future and which was not possible to try during the race weekends.

The team will be in action again tomorrow for the second and final day of testing, before heading to Assen for the next race on the calendar.

“Today I was able to complete a race simulation, with the aim of regaining the right confidence with the bike on the race distance: it’s been a really positive day, we needed it! The bike is working fine, but I need to regain confidence and making so many laps helped me a lot: now I feel tired, but tomorrow we would like to do another long run to continue on this path”.

“Today we took advantage of this first day to try so many things and we are happy because we were able to identify which solutions work and which do not. A very useful experience for the future. Tomorrow we would like to complete more laps: I will try to improve my lines which are still not perfect, then we will also try to find the right set-up of the bike for this track”.
