Simeon And Baldassarri Focus On Bike Set-Up At Motorland Aragon

Just four days after the Grand Prix of Catalunya, the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 was back on track today at MotorLand Aragon for the first of two important days of testing at the Spanish facility. Xavier Siméon completed no less than 86 laps aboard his Suter machine, working hard on set-up and chassis geometry to try to solve the problems encountered in the last two races, collecting some valuable data.

Also Lorenzo Baldassari - Team Gresini Moto2 – took full advantage of thir first day of testing, covering 76 laps: the young Italian, who last Sunday collected his first World Championship points, first focused on the rear end, then he struggled with the front end, an area on which he will work tomorrow during the second and final day of testing at Aragon.

XAVIER SIMEON
“Today we put in a lot of laps on the bike, working hard to better understand what went wrong in the last two races: I’m happy because we managed to do a good job even in very hot conditions, finding improvements with regard to the use of the hard tyres that recently we were not able to exploit as we wished. Tomorrow we will continue to work in this direction”.

LORENZO BALDASSARRI
“I'm satisfied because I did a lot of laps and I was able to work a lot on the bike set-up, trying solutions which proved to be useful to understand better the behaviour of the bike, especially in very hot conditions. Initially we focused on the rear end, which recently gave us some problems, then we worked to improve the feeling with the front end. In this case I have not yet reached the right confidence, so tomorrow we will continue to work on this area”.
