2014 Austria GP: Formula One F1 LIVE Q2 Qualifying Stream - Rosberg Fastest! Vettel Ko'd!

By PaddockTalk.com Staff Writers

The Formula One F1 series qualifying is underway for the 2014 Austria Grand Prix GP. Leading Q2 qualifying was Nico Rosberg and his No. 6 with a lap of 1:08.974 around the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.

Rosberg was followed by Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Valtteri Bottas (Williams), Felipe Massa (Williams), Fernando Alonso (Ferrari).

The big surprise was the KO of four-time Formula One F1 champion Sebastian Vettel not making it into Q3 at his home circuit. His teammate Daniel Ricciardo was .17 quicker to make it through to take his shot at Pole.

Q2 Ko's: Romain Grosjean (Lotus), Jean-Eric Vergne (Toro Rosso), Pastor Maldonado (Lotus), Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), Jenson Button (McLaren), and Sergio Perez (Force India).

Q1 Ko's: Marcus Ericsson (Caterham), Kamui Kobayashi (Caterham), Max Chilton (Marussia), Jules Bianchi (Marussia), Esteban Gutierrez (Sauber), Adrian Sutil (Sabuer).

Pirelli have brought the soft (yellow) and super soft (red) compounds this weekend. Each driver must use each compound at least once during the race.
