Stretching 14 miles through Germany’s Eifel Mountains and encompassing a heady mix of uncompromising corners, treacherous crests and steep gradients, all of which make the Nürburgring one of the world’s most challenging and merciless racetracks.

In wet-to-drying conditions, Rotek Racing completed a total of 18 laps with Daryl O’Young posting a time of 9m04.225s to position the multiple VLN winning Audi TTRS on pole.

American driver Kevin Gleason will be the first of four top-level tin-top stars to pilot the TTRS in the headlining race, with each of the remaining three drivers, Rob Huff, Robb Holland and O’Young, then undertaking single stints initially.

Huff will be the last to pilot the 400bhp, ultra-high downforce racer due to his FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) commitments at the globally renowned Spa-Francorchamps. The 2012 WTCC Champion is expected to arrive at the circuit at 7.30pm.
