By Mike Sulka

In front of 100,000 fans, Mercedes Formula One F1 driver Nico Rosberg picked up a solid victory at the 2014 Austria Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. For Rosberg, it it his third win of the 2014 season and 6th career Formula One F1 victory - 18th career podium. Rosberg extended his lead in the 2014 Formula One F1 world drivers points championship to 29 points.

For Mercedes, it was the team's seventh victory of the year in eight tries. The team also claimed their sixth one-two of the season. The victory marked the team's 20th all-time as a constructor.

Finishing second was Lewis Hamilton and his No. 44 who claimed his sixth podium of the year, and 60th of his career. Hamilton made a great start moving up two places - from 9th - ahead of Turn One, and grabbing fourth place by the end of lap one.

Picking up his first career podium was Valtteri Bottas and his No. 77 Williams. His previous best finish was at the 2014 Australian Grand Prix & the 2014 Spanish Grand Prix - fifth.

For Williams, it was the team's first podium finish since the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix - won by Pastor Maldonado. Williams move up to fifth in the constructor point standings, they are just two points behind Force India - fourth.

Felipe Massa and his No. 19 Williams started on Pole, had a solid start to keep that lead, but fell back to fourth after a slow first pitstop.

Fernando Alonso and his No. 14 Ferrari would round out the top-five finishers.

Sebastian Vettel and his No. 1 Red Bull continued to have trouble had another technical glitch were he lost power for a half a lap. He finally retired on lap 36.

Next up, the Formula One F1 series will race at the 2014 British Grand Prix in two weeks.
