2014 NHRA: #Nhra psm A Way To Bring Pro Stock Motorcycle Competitors, Fans Together

PRO2, the 2-Wheel Professional Racers Organization, hopes to bring increased awareness to the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class through a social media outreach with the hashtag "#nhraPSM."

Bookmark and Share
PRO2 encourages all Pro Stock Motorcycle competitors to use #nhraPSM on all posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., as a way for fans to connect with riders, team owners, crew chiefs, and anyone in the class.

Fans should also use the hashtag when posting about the class.

"The NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle class doesn't have a Duck Dynasty reality show ... yet, so in the meantime this special hashtag will give fans and motorcycle enthusiasts a look into some of our lives," said rider Steve Johnson, one of the leaders of PRO2. "Sometimes racing a motorcycle at almost 200 mph tends to create a unique lifestyle for some of us racers. This #nhraPSM hashtag is a key to upgrade the regular grandstand seat to a first-class seat into learning more about all these personalities."

Fans will soon be able to see #nhraPSM on decals that will be displayed on the bikes in the class, as well as throughout the pit areas at racetracks.

Nicole Nobile and Jessica Outten, girlfriends to PSM riders Hector Arana Jr. and Adam Arana, respectively, have helped spearhead the social media outreach.

"We've already started using #nhraPSM on our Twitter and Instagram and the fans like it," Arana Jr. said. "The Pro Stock Motorcycle class is an interesting, diverse group, and we want the fans to get to know us on and off the track. The #nhraPSM hashtag is a good way for fans to see what goes on in our lives, including the racetrack. I look forward to seeing it all over social media."
