A Small English Gentleman Will Join Duncan Ende At Watkins Glen

Keeping the average of the team's drivers well under 5' 7", Duncan Ende is proud to welcome his friend Ryan Lewis (not this Ryan Lewis) to the no. 09 Lino'spresso USA / RSR Racing Oreca FLM09 for this weekend's Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen.

The Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen is the fifth Prototype Challenge round of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, and the third round of the Patron North American Endurance Cup. Ende has partnered with Lewis in previous Prototype Challenge races, and is usually entertained by Lewis's twitter account.

"When we were considering who we would like to come in and help us go for a win at Watkins Glen, we needed to find a driver who was fast, funny, and shorter than Bruno," said Ende. "Ryan fits the bill perfectly - so to speak. Having shared a car with him in the past, I know that he will be a great addition to the RSR Racing team. I also think Ryan's commentary during the race weekends is hilarious, and it will be great to hear his stream of consciousness in real time."

Ende enters the weekend at Watkins Glen in fifth position in the Prototype Challenge championship as well as seventh position in the Patron NAEC which is made up of the endurance rounds of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. However, with the team not finishing at the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, the team is focused on aggressively pursuing race wins without worrying about racing for points. Ende has since been on the podium twice, with a second place at the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring and a third place at Laguna Seca.

The Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen will also mark the first time that the Prototype Challenge class will compete at the legendary Watkins Glen International circuit.

"Even though we are well behind in the running for the NAEC, a win for us at Watkins Glen would be huge," said Ende. "The Six Hours is one of the premier events on the schedule and Watkins Glen is a track that every driver loves to drive. To win here means you've done something really special. To drive in a fast car like the Prototype Challenge car in Watkins Glen will be a great experience. I'm confident in our team and in sharing the car with Bruno and Ryan, and in this transitional year for sports car racing, it would be great to score the first Prototype Challenge win at Watkins Glen."
