Austin Dillon, Richard Childress Racing Partner With Cheerios Racing On Commemorative Art Series

Legendary. Historic. Inspiring. These are just three words that can be used to describe the No. 3 in the world of motorsports. To celebrate the legacy, General Mills today announced a partnership with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Austin Dillon and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) on a commemorative "Cheer the 3" art series which will be designed by Status Serigraph artist, Justin Helton, who specializes in unique, lithograph art.

"I’m excited to be a part of this commemorative Cheer the 3 art series with Cheerios," said Dillon. "The artwork reflects my family’s heritage in racing as well as some of my personal interests, so it’s really special to me."

To complete the designs, Cheerios is working closely with Helton on the creative process to capture the essence of the No. 3, the family tradition that defines RCR in motorsports, as well as Dillon’s interests, personality and approach to racing, which will be brought together to reflect the meaning of "Cheer the 3".

"It truly is an honor to create limited-edition art for Cheerios Racing and the "Cheer the 3" campaign," said Helton. "Like NASCAR fans everywhere, I am inspired by the storied history of the No. 3 and am looking to celebrate the past and future through my art as the iconic number transitions to Austin Dillon. To be a very small part of history here is a dream come true for an artist like myself."

As a dedication to the Cheerios Racing fans, the first piece in the series will be given away through a sweepstakes that will launch on the Cheer the 3 Facebook page on Friday, June 27. By participating in a contest, one lucky fan will have the chance to win the limited-edition artwork signed by the No. 3 Cheerios Chevrolet SS driver and Helton.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with RCR on this commemorative series of artwork which depicts both an important piece of motorsports history as well as Austin’s personality and interests," said Anna Stoesz, Manager of Shopper Marketing and Motorsports at General Mills.
