Lexar Shows-Off Its Colors In The Bluegrass State

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) and Lexar announce an extension of their continued partnership to be the primary sponsor on the No. 1 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Chevrolet SS driven by 2014 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race winner and former Daytona 500 Champion Jamie McMurray. Lexar, a long-time partner of Chip Ganassi Racing Teams, began its relationship with the team back in 2001 when it became an associate sponsor with the organization.

The No. 1 Lexar Chevrolet SS will make an appearance at Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400 on Saturday June 28 (7:30 p.m., TNT), where McMurray was the runner-up finisher in the 2013 race at the 1.5-mile track located in Sparta, Ky.

· McMurray at Kentucky: Jamie McMurray has made three career NSCS starts at Kentucky Speedway since the venue was added to the NSCS schedule in 2011. The driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet SS has completed 732 of 801 (91.4%) laps of competition where he has one top-five finish along with an average finish of 17.7. McMurray is coming off a pole and fourth place finish at Sonoma last weekend.

· McMurray career numbers: McMurray who made his first NSCS start in October of 2002 at Talladega Superspeedway. The Joplin, Mo. native has 16 NSCS starts in 2014 including one pole, five top-10 and two top-five finishes. McMurray also captured the $1 million bonus with his victory in the 2014 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
