2014 Kentucky: NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying Results - Keselowski, Ford On Pole!

Brad Keselowski and his No. 2 Miller Lite Ford won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 4th Annual Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts with a lap of 28.603 seconds, 188.791 mph. This is his sixth pole in 178 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and his third pole and 13th top-10 start in 2014. This is also his first pole in four races at Kentucky Speedway.

Keselowski set a new track record in the third and final round of qualifying with his lap of 28.603 seconds, 188.791 mph. The track record for Kentucky Speedway was previously held by Dale Earnhardt Jr., at 183.636 mph (06/30/2013) 23 cars broke the previous track record during this qualifying session.

Also starting on the front row, Joey Logano and his No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford posted his 14th top-10 start of 2014

Qualifying third, Jeff Gordon and his No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet posted his second top-10 start at Kentucky Speedway. It is his ninth in 17 races this season.

Denny Hamlin and his No. 11 FedEx Office Toyota was fourth with Kevin Harvick and his No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet rounding out the top five.

Kyle Larson was the fastest qualifying rookie. He was sixth.

Overall, 42 NASCAR Sprint Cup entries attempted to qualify for the race.
