At Watkins Glen, points will be awarded to the drivers/teams/manufacturers leading each of the four categories at the three-hour mark and finish.

6: Scott Pruett has six wins at Watkins Glen, including four Six Hours of the Glen). Three of the four Six Hours were won with current co-driver Memo Rojas.

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates

SCOTT PRUETT: “We had a solid day. The Telcel Ford ran strong. Qualifying is tight, really tight, and we were frustrated with the set-up. We made some pretty big changes for qualifying. It looks like we’re headed in the right direction. We’ll continue to do more and look forward to having a good race car tomorrow.”

“We’ve had a great history at Watkins Glen. I love coming here. The fans are second-to-none. Great area; great people; passionate. I put a photo on social media earlier of a guy who had a tattoo of the long course here at Watkins Glen on his arm. When you see that passion in the fans, it motivates the drivers.”

OZZ NEGRI: “We’re struggling a little bit. Working hard on the set-up. The car has understeer and we’ve been working pretty hard on that. We got it better for qualifying, but there’s still a long way to go. It’s surprising because we usually do super well here. We will do well tomorrow. Just need to do some more work and get it better for me and John (Pew).”
